Job description
The successful candidate will be capable of multitasking, setting goals, priorities, and planning timelines. In addition, highly effective communication and collaboration are crucial. Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing scientific approaches to identify novel diagnostic, prognostic, and pharmacodynamic biomarkers to enable go/no go decisions for drug development programs
- Perform biochemical assays indicative of target engagement, efficacy, PK/PD relationships, and novel biomarkers to characterize molecules for potential therapeutic effects
- Participate in research teams to support biomarker discovery and development
- Prepare, review and deliver high quality scientific presentations for internal/external use
- Develop strategies to identify and validate novel biomarkers to assist in program progression
- Learn new techniques and approaches as needed to tackle relevant questions

Working knowledge and experience of current approaches and instrumentation involved in protein biochemistry and molecular biology techniques (e.g. immunoassays, western blotting, protein-protein interactions, protein purification, immunoprecipitation, rea
The scientist will evaluate biochemical responses to novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders in both preclinical models and early clinical trials. Specifically, this work will involve performing established assays and developing novel approaches to evaluate relevant fluid biomarkers of target engagement, pharmacodynamic responses and disease progression from preclinical studies and from clinical samples.
