Job description

We are currently looking for an Associate Director to join the EU+ Customer & Market Insights with focus on SMA.

In this role you will drive integrated strategic customer and market insights for the Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Business Unit across Europe, Canada & Partner Markets. You will be an integrated CMI Business Partner to key business functions within SMA, as well as Global and affiliates.

Furthermore, you’ll drive strong decision support based on analysis and reporting through Market Research, business execution insight, performance outcomes and competitive intelligence.

Primary Responsibilities Drive the EU+ CMI Processes

  • Be strong CMI Business Partner to key business functions, ensuring solid understanding of the business development and driving that decisions are based on facts and insights
  • Drive and lead EU+ CMI strategic insight processes
  • Develop and ensure key performance indicators are in place for brands and execution initiatives to ensure learnings loops and insights gathering
  • Develop guidance and foster best practices sharing to drive strong CMI processes and initiatives across EU+ region, affiliate and Global
  • Drive developing the process of onboarding new EU+ CMI members across region and co-leads, with the Head of EU+ CMI, and the development of team talent Strategic forecasting and Analytics
  • Responsible for development and drive the strategic long-range plan for the Region and in close collaboration with Global, including presenting recommendation to Senior Leadership, proactively developing case scenarios, ensuring aligning on core assumptions based on insights
  • Proactively sets the direction and drives and strengthen the forecasting process across the region, applying efficient methodologies using latest technology to drive robust and aligned forecasts
  • Drive the innovation advancement of the analytical expertise to support decision making, conducting critical analyses by integrating multiple data sources to provide an objective viewpoint
  • Being a close CMI Business Partner to management within brands/TA in facilitating through understanding of key business issues and opportunities and facilitating decisions being made based on insights and consequently follow-up on impact
  • Leads Business Reviews, Annual Operating Planning, Forecasts, Integrated Customer Planning Process etc. Market Research / Competitor Intelligence
  • Plan and execute strategic market research in close collaboration with Regional and Global Business Partners
  • Identify Insight gaps/needs for MS in EU+ and design & deliver research to address
  • Provide rigorous assessment and diagnosis of brand and market performance, presenting insights and recommendations Project Execution
  • Executes projects as Project Manager with key stakeholders. Can be both CMI improvement projects, Business improvement Projects (ie Customer Journey projects) or functional development projects with stakeholders in Medical, Multichannel excellence, Marketing, FFE or others

Core Experience Requirements

  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience within a life sciences company or consulting firm supporting the healthcare industry with specific focus on driving insights driven decision making
  • Experience within Neurology and ideally
