Job description
The Associate, Corporate Transactions will support target screening and evaluation, assessment of potential targets and execution of M&A and other transactions that enable and accelerate Biogen’s long-term strategy. This individual will provide project management support, coordinate due diligence, support creation of presentations to senior leadership committees, and contribute to the development of transaction strategy and tactics.
This role will report to the Head of Corporate Transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support M&A target screening and evaluation process, including helping to develop frameworks and processes aligned with Biogen senior leadership
- Help to manage cross-functional teams to lead due diligence and build the business case for potential M&A transactions
- Provide support for M&A and other corporate transactions in partnership with Corporate Development, Corporate Finance, Commercial, R&D, and other functions
- Build relationships with investment bankers, outside counsel, and other key external parties
- Understand strategy of the organization and work collaboratively across the organization to identify, evaluate, and, as appropriate, execute M&A transactions.
- Provide thought leadership on M&A trends and dynamics to inform M&A target screening process
- 2-5 years in biotech, pharmaceutical, or investment banking environments; M&A or investment banking experience strongly preferred
