Job description

The MERI team works towards the Medical Affairs Group’s key goal: helping neuroscience practitioners improve measurable patient outcomes. In particular, the Clinical Assessment Technologies group provides digital, mobile clinical self-assessment tools for MS patients, with the eventual aim of giving neurologists a set of objective measures describing the state of the disease.

The co-op will help MS patients by enabling easier integration of their data with their hospital. The co-op will perform a survey of current and upcoming cloud-based technologies used to communicate with clinical Electronic Medical Health records, for the purpose of elucidating the key technologies to be used for installations in the US, Canada, and Europe. They will outline the requirements of the transfer and follow up with a literature search and contacts with the relevant EMR vendors and innovative companies in the market. The outcome of the survey will be used during the commercialization phase of our products, to enhance integration with worldwide medical systems in a manner compliant with clinical practice.

To participate in the Biogen Intern or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program fol

This is a full-time co-op role from July - December 2019 located in Cambridge, MA.
