Job description
This position is responsible for the development of programs, initiatives and interventions related to the SMA service model within Patient Services in collaboration with marketing, field teams, market access and reimbursement, specialty pharmacy operations, and vendors. This role will partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve brand objectives, transform the customer experience, and achieve key performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Accountable to develop new Acquisition, Access, & Adherence strategies for Spinal Muscular Atrophy product. Partner with Marketing and Patient Services functions to define and implement brand initiatives and collaborate with SPP and vendor teams, holding each partner accountable and thereby driving revenue and access for the patient population.
- Liaise with Market Access & Reimbursement leadership team for charitable funding, free-drug, co-pay assistance programs, ensuring execution of tactics and removal of barriers for the patient population. Accountable for ensuring compliance with Biogen’s Regulatory/Compliance driven environment.
- Strong partnership with Field Leadership team, communicating strategies and tactics that will foster a collaborative environment. Act as a dotted line member of the Field Sales/Marketing Leadership team. Participate in field leadership activities inclusive of meeting with healthcare providers and Key Opinion Leaders in SMA.
- Co-manage pharmacy and vendor relationships for SMA services and define areas for improved service delivery and collaboration with PS and Field Operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across commercial, compliance, and patient care centers to ensure access to therapy and minimize non-clinical barriers to therapy. *Dotted line reporting into Director, Pharmacy Operations within Patient Services. *LI-SRC6
- 6-8 years of patient support program management or pharmacy operations experience
- Strong working knowledge of current SMA service model and market dynamics. Rare disease experience is preferred.
