Job description

This position will be responsible for the development of marketing programs targeted towards physicians, patients, nurses and other allied health professionals and to devise impactful marketing strategies and aligned innovative tactical programs (within a defined budget) for a designated product(s), and develop the company’s image and position in the relevant medical and market sectors, to meet the immediate sales and profitability objectives and long term development objectives.

-The position holder is expected to act as a product and company champion at all times and motivate and support all Extended team members -In charge of the Canadian product strategy, (Product Champ), input into and align with Global strategy -Lead & collaborate with the region to drive the products marketing strategy, co-create programs and execution -Drive and ensure Biogen corporate branding -Responsible for developing Canadian Marketing materials, and projects -Develop collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders -Collaborate with other brands to develop and execute the portfolio strategy and execution -Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and the implementation of a 3 year strategic plan including forecasting. Everything in accordance with the Local rules for Marketing and all in alignment with country strategy. -Give marketing support to the sales organization, feedback the needs to the rest of the organization and take an active role in sharing best practice between markets, functions and products

Activities

  • Lead the commercial strategy and planning process, based on input of key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Working with regulatory and medical, ensure product label is developed to maximize commercial opportunity.
  • Develop and implement activities to help understand market opportunity, and gain key customer support to maximize the product share within the market.
  • Development of brand value propositions, positioning concepts, messages and core marketing programs
  • Monitors and contributes to key product development milestones via the regulatory project management process.
  • Maintain an awareness of global planning and progress in key markets
  • Recommend field resourcing, budgets, and revenue/penetration forecasts
  • Collaborate with market access to develop pricing and market access potential and strategy
  • Manage marketing fees/services
  • Maintain high level of brand and therapeutic expertise
  • Ensure compliance with Biogen Code of Conduct and company policies and procedures relating to people, finance and technology
  • Take the strategy into tactic through campaigns, marketing material, national projects, PR and Marketing Access projects. Coordinate events at congresses and other meetings.
  • Provide critical analysis of own and competitive products in collaboration with internal and external partners (market analysis, sales data analysis, market research, where appropriate) for use in formulating marketing and selling strategies and activities
  • Maintain or develop relationships with key internal groups (including Medical, Global and Regional marketing and, Legal, Finance, etc.)
  • Key external groups (Key Opinion leaders, Patient organizations etc) management *LI-SRC6
  • At least 2 years Canadian Pharmaceutical sales experience
  • At least 5 years of Canadian Pharmaceutical brand management experience, preferably in the Neurology/CNS area
  • Experience marketing several brands within a specialty market
  • Strong analyt
