Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) to join a fast-paced acute care environment in Hudson, Florida.

This role supports patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations and is ideal for respiratory therapists who are confident in ventilator management, critical care support, and collaborative inpatient practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans

  • Set up, operate, and manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation

  • Administer routine and advanced respiratory therapy treatments to patients of all ages

  • Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy based on clinical condition and protocols

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

  • Function independently during off-shift hours and support departmental operations as needed

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program (Associate Degree required)

  • Active Florida CRT or RRT license

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing, lifting, and patient positioning

Required Within 6 Months of Hire

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care

  • Prior acute care or critical care respiratory therapy experience
