Overview

Guide the night-shift L&D team near West U, enhancing clinical quality, caregiver development, and patient experience in a busy maternity program with Level IV NICU support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staffing, acuity-based assignments, and safe throughput overnight

  • Lead quality projects across fetal monitoring, sepsis, hemorrhage, and OR readiness

  • Maintain survey readiness, competencies, orientation, and preceptor programs

  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU, perioperative services, and case management

  • Monitor and act on key metrics including C-section rate, readmissions, and patient experience

  • Steward budgets, supplies, and capital requests

Required

  • BSN

  • Active Texas or Compact RN license

  • 3–5 years recent acute-care L&D leadership (manager or charge)

  • BLS; NRP within 6 months; AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within 6 months

Preferred

  • ACLS

  • Master’s degree and L&D specialty certification

  • Experience leading night-shift operations in high-risk OB settings
