Overview

Guide an evening-shift NICU team near Bellaire, advancing clinical excellence, caregiver engagement, and seamless care for complex neonatal populations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead unit workflows, acuity-based staffing, and caregiver development

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary plans with physicians and allied teams

  • Monitor metrics (falls, CLABSI, VAP, HAPI, readmissions) and action plans

  • Maintain competencies, orientation, and preceptor programs

  • Steward budgets, capital requests, and supply management

  • Champion parent communication, escalation, and discharge readiness

Required

  • BSN

  • Active Texas or Compact RN license (Texas within 60 days if Compact)

  • Minimum 2 years recent NICU leadership (manager or charge) in acute care

  • BLS

Preferred

  • Graduate degree (MSN/MHA/MBA)

  • NRP; neonatal specialty certification

  • Level III/IV NICU experience with throughput and regulatory projects
