Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator

A well-established regional medical center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to provide leadership and support in a high-functioning Labor & Delivery unit. This hybrid Charge/Assistant Nurse Manager role is ideal for an experienced L&D RN ready to step into a leadership position, serving as the go-to overnight resource for the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide charge-level leadership and support overnight nursing operations

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns

• Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and throughput

• Participate in service recovery and staff engagement initiatives

• Oversee clinical workflows, assist with scheduling, and support inventory control

• Perform deliveries and scrub in for OB surgical cases as needed

• Guide and mentor staff to support professional development and policy compliance

• Current RN licensure (Tennessee or compact state)

• Associate Degree in Nursing – Required; BSN – Preferred

• BLS within 30 days of hire

• ACLS within 12 months of hire

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

• Prior leadership experience in L&D, NICU, Women’s Services, or Mother-Baby – Required

• Confident in managing deliveries and supporting OB surgical cases overnight
