Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Cardiac Telemetry Med-Surg RN to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role specializes in monitoring cardiac patients, managing complex conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and individualized care.
Important Notes:
Candidates must live within a commutable distance (under 60 minutes).
Must be comfortable with a 5:1 or 6:1 patient ratio during the day and a 6:1 ratio at night.
In-person interview required (includes shadowing, facility tour, and administrative interview).
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients for changes in condition.
Provide care for post-surgical and critically ill patients in a med-surg setting.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge care.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.
Minimum 1+ years of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years).
Active Florida RN license or multistate compact eligibility.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
Candidates with 3+ years of RN experience and a compact license must apply for a Florida RN license.
