Overview

A leading acute care hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking Registered Nurses – Medical Surgical Unit to join its growing team. This role offers the chance to work with a high-volume patient population in a collaborative and supportive environment. Nurses with prior acute care experience are strongly preferred, but candidates with LTACH experience (minimum 2–3 years) will also be considered and trained.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of medical surgical patients.

  • Provide patient and family education on treatments, medications, and care plans.

  • Maintain accurate documentation including test and exam results.

  • Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.

  • Demonstrate service excellence, professionalism, and critical thinking in patient care delivery.

  • Current Florida RN license or compact RN license eligible for Florida – Required.

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree – Required; BSN – Preferred.

  • Current BLS certification through AHA (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire) – Required.

  • Previous acute care experience strongly preferred.

  • LTACH nurses with 2–3 years of experience will be considered for training.
