Med Surg Neuro RN

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Med Surg Neuro unit on a full-time day shift schedule. This 30-bed unit is dedicated to the care of patients with both neurological and general medical-surgical needs. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled professionals in a supportive, team-focused environment that prioritizes patient outcomes and safety.

Shift

• Day Shift Only

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans

• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient progress

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care

• Educate patients and families on treatment, recovery, and discharge plans

• Utilize tools like the NIH Stroke Scale and electronic documentation systems

• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and protocol compliance

• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately

• Active Florida RN License or Compact License (with ability to obtain FL license within 60 days)

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

• BLS (AHA) required prior to start

• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 30 days of hire
