Overview
Hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift in a Level II Trauma acute care hospital serving Seminole & West Volusia County. Work across ICU, ED, step-down, and acute units with robust ventilator management (invasive & NIV/HFNC), code response, and vascular access upskilling. This site features a full-service cardiovascular program (open-heart, interventional cardiology, EP, rehab) and comprehensive diagnostic services—ideal for RRTs who want high acuity and growth.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments; document breath sounds, airway patency, cuff pressure.
Administer therapies (oxygen, aerosol meds, bronchial hygiene/chest physiotherapy).
Initiate/monitor/adjust invasive and noninvasive ventilation per protocol/provider orders.
Assist with artificial airway placement; ensure airway integrity during transports and emergent events.
Conduct diagnostic tests; evaluate therapeutic response; escalate promptly as needed.
Respond to codes and rapid responses; support resuscitation and post-event stabilization.
Partner with RNs, providers, and case management to optimize outcomes, throughput, and patient experience.
Required
RRT credential (NBRC) and Florida state license (or eligibility).
Completion of an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Care program (Associate or equivalent).
BLS within 30 days of start; ACLS, PALS, NRP within 6 months of start.
Experience
Flexible on experience — new grads considered if they have just passed boards or are awaiting license and have no prior RT employment.
Prior acute/critical care ventilator experience preferred

Competitive hourly pay $28–$40/hr (DOE), $15k sign-on, relocation case-by-case.
