Manager of Labor and Delivery RN – Day Shift

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and staff performance within the Labor and Delivery unit

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with organizational policies and standards

• Monitor nursing care delivery, clinical outcomes, and unit performance metrics

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance accountability for all L&D staff

• Coordinate with AP, PP, and LD units during on-call weeks (every third week)

• Promote collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient care goals

Unit Details:

• 19 Labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 Surgical Suites

• On-call rotation includes PP/AP/LD coverage every third week

• Active RN license (Texas or compact)

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; BSN preferred

• Minimum 1 year of recent leadership experience in Labor & Delivery

• Strong understanding of obstetric protocols, safety standards, and staffing models

• Ability to manage 80+ FTEs across multiple L&D-related departments

• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
