Job description

As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, supportive medical-surgical unit. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, administer treatments and medications, and educate patients and families on care protocols to ensure excellent health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients

  • Monitor and document patient conditions and progress

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed

  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals

  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and discharge plans

Licensure:

  • Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license (Florida license required within 90 days of hire)

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred)

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association – required within 30 days of hire

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of recent LTACH or acute care hospital experience preferred

  • Willing to train experienced LTACH nurses

Additional Requirements:

  • Onsite interviews required
