Registered Nurse Cardiac Neuro Telemetry

The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Neuro Telemetry (Med-Tele) will provide evidence-based nursing care for patients with cardiovascular and neurological conditions. Key responsibilities include:

• Interpreting telemetry strips and recognizing arrhythmias and emergent conditions

• Monitoring patient conditions and documenting assessments and interventions

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Educating patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge plans

• Delivering high-quality care to patients recovering from surgeries and procedures related to cardiac and neurological conditions

• Licensure:

  • Current Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must convert to FL license within 90 days)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required

  • Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring is required

• Certifications:

  • BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required

  • NIHSS certification required within 30 days of hire

• Education:

  • ASN or Nursing Diploma required (BSN preferred) 

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience with telemetry, stepdown, or med/surg telemetry units

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Long-term commitment preferred (not a travel contract role)
