Job description

We are hiring Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses to provide expert care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. The PCU RN is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and caring for patients with complex medical conditions who are not in critical care but still require close observation. This role supports post-acute and post-operative patients and contributes to a collaborative care environment.

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift (Rotating Weekends)

  • Night Shift (Rotating Weekends, $4/hr shift differential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and treat patients in the Intermediate Care Unit

  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans

  • Administer medications and manage treatments

  • Provide post-surgical and post-acute care

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, hospital, and safety standards

  • Work with interdisciplinary care teams for optimal patient outcomes

  • 1+ years of recent acute PCU experience required (within the last year)

  • Will consider candidates with recent acute ER experience or 3+ years of acute Med-Surg experience

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required

  • Active RN license in Florida or compact state eligibility

  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

  • ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire
