Personal Injury Defense Associate

We are seeking a Personal Injury Defense Associate for a national law firm in NY. The position would require the candidate to have a team oriented approach that consists of attorneys and paralegals in the coordinated evaluation and resolution of each matter addressed within a Legal Project Management approach.

 

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice in New York State
• 2-4 years defending personal injury claims venued in NY Supreme Courts
• Experience with Labor Law §200, §240(1), and §241(6), premises liability claims

Skills and Responsibilities required:

• Proficient and efficient research
• Professional written work product, with ability to concisely explain what matters most and why -- for audiences that will include clients, courts, and litigant counsel
• Understanding and applying CPLR discovery rules, to oversee, evaluate and enforce external and internal party compliance
• Claim investigation: client and non-party interaction with paralegal support to smartly and efficiently address what matters most.
