Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Upstate NY (Penn Yan)

This Hospital Based position is for both the outpatient clinic and the In Patient Mental Health Unit. The NP reports to the Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health Services.

Psych NP will round on patients on the 10 bed acute psychiatric unit and treat patients in the outpatient clinic.

The psychiatric nurse practitioner will be knowledgeable in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis of mental illnesses, skilled in consultation, medication monitoring and ongoing treatment of consumers. The Nurse Practitioner will be available to see children and adults diagnosed with mental illness or serious emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.

Minimum requirements include: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing.  3-5 years psych nursing experience.  NY License, Certified in Basic Life Support
