JAVA Team Lead

The candidate will direct a team of java developers to complete high priority IT Portfolio Projects (such as KEES).

Specific Duties for the position

• Direct a team of Java Developers to complete high priority IT Portfolio Projects (such as KEES). The expectation is that this candidate will perform significant coding tasks as well as directing the activities of other developers.
• Develop/maintain Common Components as needed.
• Provide architecture and/or advanced programming skills to high priority IT Portfolio Projects as directed.
• Perform knowledge transfer/transition activities to facilitate the use and maintenance of the reusable components developed.

Required Skills/Experience

• Object Oriented Programming Experience.
• Java (experience with Eclipse and/or Rational Application Developer – minimum 10 years).
• Design/Develop and unit test server-side JEE/Java Code. Very strong design and implementation skills in Java/JEE Technology.
• IBM Rational Tool Suite (i.e. Clear Quest/Clear Case, Manual Tester/Functional Tester) Training/Experience (minimum 2 years experience).
• IBM Websphere Experience. (Minimum 2 years experience).
• Database Programming/SQL experience with major DBMS (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) (Minimum 5 years experience.).
• Superior analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Systems Architecture Experience. (Minimum 4 years experience).
• Superior oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Java Certification.
• Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JSF, EJB 3.1, Primefaces).
• Document Management (training and/or experience – FileNet preferred – Panagon or P8).
