Summary
We are seeking skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineers with experience levels of 3 to 10 years to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Candidates with a higher experience level will also oversee the execution and design of a set of projects and is capable of leading the projects to completion.
Job Responsibilities
Depending on the level of expertise, the job responsibilities will consist of:
- Oversees the execution of multiple projects or tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager, ensuring completion according to schedule, while effectively managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Provides operational and technical planning and decision support to team members, including guidance on defining project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Facilitates and participates in technical discussions, reviews drawings, calculations, and reports, and acts as a liaison for cross-functional collaboration with departments such as project management, manufacturing, sourcing, electrical, and software engineering.
- Designs and develops mechanical systems, products, and components using CAD software and engineering principles; conducts feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate designs.
- Prepares technical documentation and specifications, ensures compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines, and supports prototyping, fabrication, and production.
- Proactively identifies and communicates operational and technical project risks to the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in CAD tools
- Experience with FEA tools
- Self-Driven with the ability to Technically support a Team
- Ability to work in a team environment on short- and long-term projects
- Oral and written communication skills with the ability to discuss the Architecture to key Stake Holders
- Good presentation skills
- Product knowledge of Oil and Gas Rigs Onshore and Offshore
- Ability to recommend improvements / resolutions to improve customer satisfaction and product functionality
- Advanced English Level.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of 3 - 10 years of applicable experience.
Location: Macaé or Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
