Job description

Job Description

  • Ensure that FGV Fertiliser Sdn Bhd complies with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
  • Assist in conducting HSE audits at FGVF Sdn Bhd premises.
  • Carry out HSE inspections at FGVF Sdn Bhd premises and submit inspection reports to the Head of Unit and other relevant departments.
  • Plan and implement safety and health programs at all company premises.
  • Receive and compile monthly HSE reports from all FGVF Sdn Bhd branches.
  • Report HSE performance of FGVF to the Company CEO, Division, and FGV Group HSE Head on or before the 10th of each month.
  • Communicate and liaise with government agencies such as DOSH, BOMBA, Police, DOE, and other relevant departments.
  • Assist the employer or any responsible person at the workplace on necessary actions to ensure the safety and health of all employees.
  • Ensure that any machinery, plant, equipment, materials, tools, or any routine and non-routine work at the workplace complies with established safety and health regulations.
  • Assist the unit head in investigating any type of accident, near miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease at the workplace as stated under Regulation 18(c), OSHA 1994: Duties of Safety and Health Officer.
  • Assist the Safety and Health Committee to comply with Regulation 11 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 in organizing and implementing safety and health programs at the workplace.
  • Act as Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee as stated under Subregulation 6(2) of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 and perform all secretary functions as outlined in the regulations.
  • Assist the Safety and Health Committee in conducting workplace inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of measures taken to comply with the Act or any regulations made under it.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain statistics on any accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, or occupational diseases at the workplace.

Assist any officer (e.g., from DOSH) in carrying out their duties under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.

  • Carry out any other instructions from the employer or any person in charge related to workplace safety and health.
