Job Description Summary

JOB PURPOSE

Based on the activities assigned by his/her superiors, the accountant records and checks the accounting entries in his/her area of responsibility, within the given deadlines. He/she is responsible for justifying the balances of the accounts within his/her scope.

Job Description SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES

Accounting

  • Process and control accounting documents and letter accounts within its scope and justify account balances
  • Process, control and, if necessary, record cash receipts and disbursements within its perimeter
  • Participate in the closing of accounts within the set deadlines
  • Produce reconciliation statements
  • Participate in the control of accounting records
  • Draw up tax and social security declarations, where applicable
  • Produce, if necessary, indicators of the volume of its activity and transmit them to its hierarchy
  • Play an active role in the continuous improvement of your activity (business tools, etc.), procedures, etc.)
  • Be a privileged interlocutor with internal and external stakeholders in the context of its activities
  • Ensure the administrative management of its perimeter, if necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE FOR ACTION

  • Ensure the quality of data entered into business tools
  • Guarantees the compliance and timeliness of accounting for its perimeter
  • Know, apply and enforce internal and external financial, tax and compliance procedures and rules
  • Be a key contact for internal and external stakeholders

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

DIPLOMA(S) AND/OR EXPERIENCE(S)

Bac +2 level in accounting and/or significant experience preferred

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE(S)

Technical skill(s)

  • Professional knowledge of finance (accounting, treasury, etc.)
  • Professional knowledge of taxation (VAT, etc.)
  • General knowledge of IT tools and information systems
  • Basic level of English (A2)
