Job description

Position will initially train at the Des Plaines facility at 50 E. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, IL for 2-3 weeks and then transfer to the Riverside-McCook facility at 8400 Joliet Road, Riverside, IL. Targeted hourly wage is $30-$35/hour.

  • Directs, initiates, and implements patient care plans. Responsible for immediate treatment of employees due to illness and injury as well as administration of medication when necessary.
  • Provides nursing care and on-site services for client companies including annual physicals and flu vaccines. Coordinate a variety of training and testing including CPR/First Aid, Annual Hearing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), respirator and accident reporting. Administers travel medicine program for employees who are required to travel globally.
  • Maintains OSHA log. Serves as a main contact between injured employee and workers' comp insurance carrier. Work with carrier to reduce costs through analysis of medical claims and coding identification. Maintain constant interaction with STD/LTD insurance carrier and employee in order to manage disability, light duty and return to work status. Coordinate post-offer physicals. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse.

Must be certified as an Occupational Health Nurse or working towards certification and 4-6 years of experience in the field. Must be certified in First Aid/CPR. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Pay: DOE  30-35/hour
