Business Analyst/Technical Writer-Software Development

Responsible for gathering, defining, analyzing, documenting and communicating key client requirements.  Will decipher and understand customer’s functional needs, and to communicate those needs to the software development and hardware development teams for action. Providing appropriate documentation for product and project deliverables 

 

Responsibilities (average % of time spent on each task):

• 70 % - Gather information to define and document requirements based on client input and definition
• 5 % - Define processes and functions including key components, inputs, outputs, flows and users
• 10 % - Lead and provide direction to development team in understanding and implementing requirements.
• 15 % -  Communicating with both clients and team members, including client sponsor, client stakeholders, developers, managers and other analysts

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and project management skills
• Possess resource knowledge- subject matter expertise in quality processes, software development activity processes, organizational structures, research, knowledge management and information management.
• Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Strong PC skills and experience with project management tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience):

 

• 4-year degree in an engineering disciplines or equivalent professional experience in the requirements area
• Minimum of 2+ years of requirements analysis experience related to software development.
• Experience in other phases of a project life cycle and software development roles
