Test Engineer

Test Engineer(Portland, OR)  12 months plus contract

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (or related area) with 4 years experience.
• A general understanding of embedded processor electronic control systems.
• Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc)
• The ability to troubleshoot vehicle electrical/electronic systems using design and service documentation
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. 
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment is required.
• A commercial driver's license or the ability to obtain one is required

 

** Preferred:

• Experience with developing and conducting tests, the purpose of which is to validate the functionality of vehicle systems and components.
• Experience with heavy-duty commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
• Experience with CAN or J1939 serial data bus networks is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems, test instrumentation, data acquisition/analysis software and testing methodology is preferred.
