Test Engineer I - Product Validation

• Job Functions Provide direction to Product Engineering, Product Validation, as well as other internal and external suppliers for suitable test plans which will results in products that meet customers reliability expectations. Support Reliability Department's product test requests to make sure they are implemented in a timely fashion. Work closely with Product Engineering and other Product Validation Engineering groups to define targets and goals Analyze failucomponent, system and vehicle level and publish test report Initiate and maintain fault elimination process by utilizing tools such as FMEA, DOE, etc to assure reliability targets are achieved Manage reliability testing requirements of vehicles from other DAIMLER Trucks Business units Incorporate test requirements from captive and non captive Engine, Transmission and Axle Manufacturers

* Basic Qualifications 
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline with emphasis on automotive technology required
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Technical command of English language as well as technical report writing and presentation skills are required
Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
Ability to be self motivated driven to improve reliability/quality of Daimler Trucks North America product lines during the development program required
Familiarity with Daimler Trucks North America product offerings, computer tools as well as CATIA CAD package preferred
Exposure to basic theory of fault elimination, reliability methods, statistical analysis and quality management. Practical experience during course work or on the job training preferred
