Electrical Designer/Engineer Catia V5

JOB FUNCTIONS:  

 Provide technical and CAD support for general use electrical components, (i.e. connectors, terminals, relays, cables, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, etc).

• Research general use electrical components, including part numbers, series, dimensions, drawings, performance, availability and part relationships.
• Review and process new and revision requests for general use electrical components and determine that Daimler Trucks North America requirements are met.
• Maintain and populate electrical systems data, for example Electrical Connector database, circuit Identification numbers.
• Maintain and populate Electrical Component Optimization (ECO) project database of optimized electrical connectors, terminals, etc.
• Maintain, create and release electrical component part numbers and drawings.
• Work with vendors regarding existing and proposed Electrical components.
• Update component drawings using MS Word and CATIA v5.
• Update library components using Mentor Graphics.      BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

 - An Associate's degree in an electrical/electronics discipline is preferred.

• Basic vehicle electrical system knowledge is preferred.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills (PC/MS Office and mainframe).
• Must be well-organized and able to balance multiple tasks, detail oriented, possess good judgment, and exercise initiative.
• Computer skills (PC skills, MS office tools, mainframe) are required
• Knowledge of Mentor LCable and Catia V5 is preferred
