Full-time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) needed for ourMedical Nutrition Therapy program in Aberdeen Washington.While in this position, the RD will work closely with the HealthEducator, Chronic Care Coordinators, medical providers and otherclinical team members in an outpatient setting. The RD is responsiblefor nutrition education and counseling and will provide patient riskassessment, nutrition education, and nutrition services for pediatric and adult patients referred by the Primary Care Provider inindividual and some group settings. Nutritional conditions frequentlyencountered in our clinics include diabetes, obesity, chronic kidneydisease, hypertension, heart disease and other chronic diseases. TheRD will also work with patients with food allergies, GI conditions,disordered eating, weight management, pediatric nutrition, and otherhealth concerns.  Additionally, this position will offer coverage atour Ocean Shores clinic when needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintains complete and up-to-date charts (documenting counselingsession as specified by program guidelines in legible form), andstatistical program records but not limited to: Misys EMREHR records,WIC/CIMS Flow sheet, WIC diet records, certification sheetsweight/height grids, diet evaluation sheets, infant birth outcomes,appointment schedules and encounter forms. * Establishes and maintains professional working relationships withteam members and other Sea Mar staff. Serves as a liaison betweenNutrition and/or WIC and other clinic and community services and makesreferrals as appropriate. * Provides Medical, MSS, and patient nutritional assessment andnutrition counseling. Facilitatesappointment time through scheduling and following up on failedappointments according toprotocol, coordinates services with other health professionals, andcooperates with otherdepartments. Documents assessment, treatment, and plan of action fromcounseling session inMedical record according to protocol. * Compares information collected to program criteria to accuratelydetermine WIC eligibility andnutrition risk factors. * Determines appropriate food package, explains nutrient content ofWIC foods, identifies contracted food vendor, issues manual orcomputerized food vouchers and documents check issuance.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition from anaccredited university. * Completed an accredited dietetic internship program or CoordinatedUndergraduate Program in Dietetics. * 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course. * WA State Registration and Certification for Dietitian or RD/CDeligible with attainment of these credentials within time periodstated in the Sea Mar Nutrition Program Policies and ProceduresManual. * Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobintesting for WIC RD. WIC staff who do not have the MedicalAssistant-Registered Certification are not permitted to perform theHemoglobin testing. Staff are required to obtain the Certificationafter hire or promotion. * The experience should reveal demonstrated interest in nutritionservices and nutrition education. *  Experience in community nutrition setting with an interest inbasic nutrition and childhood development is desirable. * Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required * Annual influenza vaccine required. Only exception is for employeeswith a medical or religious exemption approved by Administration.Employees with an approved medical or religious exemption must wear amask at all time during the flu season. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in a community nutrition setting with an interest inweight management, diabetes education and pediatric nutrition isdesired.  * Minimum of 1-2 years experience in outpatient or similar nutritionsetting is highly preferred. * Experience with long term care programs. * Current Adult/Pediatric CPR certification.Hourly - Hourly Plan, 0.00 USD Hourly
