Job Description:
About the Division of Business and Government within the College of Business and Technology:
The College of Business and Technology consists of the Division of Business and Government (DBG) and the Division of Technology. The faculty and staff at DBG serve undergraduate majors in Accounting, Apparel Design and Merchandising, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, and Politics, Philosophy and Economics (an interdisciplinary program), as well as a master's degree in Data Analytics in Business (MS; STEM) and Graduate Certificates. The division is committed to providing a high-quality education through the lens of Christian faith and values and is distinguished by its emphasis on applied learning. It was the first within the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities membership to achieve secondary accreditation with the AACSB (in 2000) and successfully maintained accreditation in 2025. In addition, the College of Business and Technology was the first adopter within the Northwest Region of the UN's Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and is a PRME Champion School. Beyond such quality indicators, the faculty and staff within the division are a supportive community marked by collaborative teaching, scholarship, and service.
Job Description:
Thank you for your inquiry about an adjunct teaching opportunity at the College of Business and Technology at SPU. Adjunct educators are hired on a contractual, part-time basis, teaching introductory undergraduate or preparatory courses for specified quarters throughout an academic year. Duties include developing syllabi and assignments, teaching classes and assessing student performance.
The pool of applications at this site will be accessed periodically as specific needs arise in all areas of Business, Ethics and Pre-Law, Economics, Accounting, Political Science, and Global Development Studies.
The salary range for Adjuct Professors in SBGE is $950 - 1,250 per credit hour, depending on education and experience.
Requirements:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
Bachelor's degree applicants will be considered if accompanied by significant industry and/or teaching experience.
