Job Description
- Developing/Formatting enduring PowerPoint decks for video-based educational content
- Generating tables and figures in PowerPoint for text-based educational programming
- Recreating figures, as needed, in Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Sourcing appropriate images in image database to augment activity content
- Advising on permission/copyright issues and working with Editorial Assistants to obtain appropriate and timely permissions
- Completing other responsibilities, as assigned
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ related work experience in PowerPoint deck creation and formatting, data figure/table generation for medical/scientific presentation for medical education, pharmaceutical advertising, and/or medical communications company
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
- Experience accessing image databases such as Shutterstock, Getty
- Experience formatting decks for a broad variety of medical therapeutic areas and familiarity with medical/scientific terminology
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment, while taking into consideration global stakeholders based across multiple time zones
- Ability and desire to meet deadlines and deliver results with minimum supervision by creatively using existing resources in a productive and/or innovative way, to quickly deal with unforeseen issues, and suggesting plausible solutions to ensure that timelines are consistently met
- Self-motivated, positive attitude and very high energy, with a willingness to accept varied assignments
- Exceptional focus on accuracy, attention to detail and consistency of work
- Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and high degree of initiative
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with members of Editorial Services, Scientific Direction, Program Management, Production and Studio teams
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Desired (not required) Skills
- College degree in visual arts/design, English, journalism, and/or biological sciences
- Experience with print permissions and copyright requirements
- Experience with continuing medical education materials
- Understanding of ACCME guidelines
- Knowledge of internet technologies; previous online development experience a plus
- Experience with web-based document sharing sites (such as Box)
- Experience using web-based project management tools
- Familiarity with PubMed and other online searchable sites
Education/Certifications: College degree in visual arts/design, English, journalism, and/or biological sciences PowerPoint Adobe Suite
