Job description
The individual will play a key role in the identification and functional characterization of lead molecules across diverse therapeutic areas and modalities. Success in this role will involve working directly with multiple individuals in the Discovery Assays group on a weekly basis and can involve interactions with individuals throughout the larger Discovery organization.
- Execute established plate based biochemical and cell-based screening assays for biologics hit ID • Execute assays for functional characterization of leads • Expand range of technical skills to cover range of assays used in hit identification and lead characterization within the group • Document experimental details and scientific findings, strong attention to detail; use LIMS system for workflow and experimental tracking, actively participate in scientific meetings
Specialized knowledge and skills • Experience with ELISA development, FACS, Luminex, Octet, Alpha Screen, HTRF or MSD is desirable • Experience with cell culture • Familiarity with automation, electronic lab notebook or LIMS systems a plus • Excellent organizational, analytical and technical skills are required along with ability to work well within a team environment • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, broad scientific interests § Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a sense of urgency and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Non-PhD candidates with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
