Job description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer – Civil with experience in railway infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D/3D drawings and design documentation for railway civil works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed CAD drawings for railway civil works including:
Track layouts
Alignment drawings
Cross-sections and longitudinal sections
Station layouts
Bridges, culverts, and drainage works
Develop drawings based on inputs from design engineers and project managers.
Modify and update drawings as per review comments and site requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Structural, Geotechnical, Electrical, Signaling, etc.).
Ensure compliance with railway standards and project specifications.
Maintain drawing registers and documentation control as per company procedures.
Support tender documentation and design submissions.
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings when required.
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Civil 3D (preferred)
MicroStation (added advantage)
Strong understanding of railway alignment, track geometry, and civil detailing.
Knowledge of relevant railway standards and codes.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Metro / High-Speed Rail / Conventional Railway projects.
Familiarity with BIM workflows.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Location:
Kolkata office
Required Qualifications:
Diploma / B.tech in Civil Engineering or Draftsmanship.
3–8 years of experience in railway infrastructure projects.
