CAD Designer - Civil

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer – Civil with experience in railway infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D/3D drawings and design documentation for railway civil works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for railway civil works including:

  • Track layouts

  • Alignment drawings

  • Cross-sections and longitudinal sections

  • Station layouts

  • Bridges, culverts, and drainage works

• Develop drawings based on inputs from design engineers and project managers.

• Modify and update drawings as per review comments and site requirements.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Structural, Geotechnical, Electrical, Signaling, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with railway standards and project specifications.

• Maintain drawing registers and documentation control as per company procedures.

• Support tender documentation and design submissions.

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings when required.

• Proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD

  • Civil 3D (preferred)

  • MicroStation (added advantage)

• Strong understanding of railway alignment, track geometry, and civil detailing.

• Knowledge of relevant railway standards and codes.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Metro / High-Speed Rail / Conventional Railway projects.

• Familiarity with BIM workflows.

• Good coordination and communication skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Location:

Kolkata office

 

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.tech in Civil Engineering or Draftsmanship.

• 3–8 years of experience in railway infrastructure projects.
