THE ROLE
We're looking for a Certification Development Specialist who is customer-obsessed and driven to innovate in designing and evolving high-impact credentialing programs that drive the global value of our brand, delight our partners and customers, and fuel business growth by validating technical mastery across our ecosystem. The right candidate is a creative, detail-oriented problem-solver that will manage the full lifecycle of exam development and build a certification ecosystem that delivers incredible results for our global community. In this role, you will help transform how we educate and develop employees, partners, customers, and prospects by ensuring our assessments remain high-quality, relevant, and aligned to industry standards. This individual contributor role will report into the Performance, Education, and Knowledge (PEAK) Team as part of the global Customer Experience organization comprising Technical Services, Advanced Services, PEAK, and Customer Success. Some key responsibilities include:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute end-to-end certification development by supporting the full lifecycle of exams, including design, implementation, delivery, and ongoing maintenance.
- Drive exam quality and relevance through rigorous item development, review, and refinement to ensure all assessment content is clear and aligned with standards.
- Conduct needs analysis to assess certification and certificate program value, gaps, and opportunities.
- Gather and analyze exam performance data to identify trends and recommend design or content improvements.
- Support recertification and renewal strategy execution, including exam updates and lifecycle adjustments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on accessibility, fairness, and candidate experience.
- Ensure alignment between certification exam development and certification preparation training by coordinating content handoff and communicating assessment intent.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews to understand how product and training updates impact certification programs.
- Develop certification program collateral, including training alignment, exam blueprints, items, and enablement assets.
- Prepare instructor-facing summaries for new or updated exams.
- Build strong working relationships with SMEs, assessment vendors, and peer exam developers.
- Manage program logistics, including development schedules, milestone tracking, and SME participation or review status.
- Troubleshoot and support certification platforms and tools, while also documenting workflows and processes
- Maintain documentation and process artifacts, ensuring strict version control for items and certification programs.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Professional Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in certification, assessment development, or instructional design.
- Previous experience working in a technical organization is a strong plus.
- Foundational understanding of certification design, item writing, and validation processes.
- Awareness of psychometric principles and best practices for exam development.
- Experience with psychometric tools or data analysis is preferred, as is academic or practical exposure to concepts such as assessment validity, job analysis, or performance measurement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical SMEs and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a drive to learn continuously.
- Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance.
- Significant experience working where customer satisfaction is paramount in a service delivery care environment.
- Multi-skilled, willing and able to learn quickly, comfortable working from one project/task to the next.
- Strong problem solving and editorial skills with genuine attention to detail.
- Educational Background: BS degree or equivalent practical experience in Education, Instructional Design, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, Lehi or Ralrigh office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
