This role requires a blend of mechanical and electrical expertise, with a focus on supporting production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Install, maintain, and repair automated, computer-controlled, and robotic machinery, combining mechanical and electrical knowledge. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in complex systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and robotic equipment. Conduct tests to ensure equipment operates efficiently and correctly. Perform emergency repairs and adjustments while production lines are running, ensuring minimal downtime. Fabricate or modify equipment to maintain and improve production lines. Maintain facilities and all plant equipment, including HVAC, fire safety, and power systems as required. Record maintenance and repair activities, prepare operating standards, and develop maintenance procedures. Establish and maintain communication with equipment vendors and suppliers. Responsible for equipment start-up and shut-down, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Work safely with machines using chemicals (caustic, acids, ammonia). Qualifications Ability to pass a Ramsay aptitude test Experience in production equipment maintenance, preferably in food and beverage or manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, including robotics and automation. Ability to diagnose and fix problems in complex electromechanical systems. Proficient in reading blueprints, diagrams, and ladder logic programs. Experience with software interface tools for Allen Bradley or GE PLCs and Windows-based software preferred. Skilled in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools. Experience in maintenance fields including industrial electrical, welding, plumbing, and HVAC. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; mechanical aptitude; ability to multitask. Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, bend, stoop, climb ladders, walk, and stand for extended periods. Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing priorities, and solve problems. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Trade/Technical school or Red Seal certification preferred. Forklift experience may be required.
