Job description
- Request the design theme if it is not attached to the Contract or there are no Terms of reference
- Prepares bid requests for subcontractors and presents them to the Department Manager
- Participate in the design activity in order to respect the deadline established by the contract and the design schedule
- Prepares technical design solutions within the project
- Prepares the technical plans and the written parts of a project in accordance with the content framework of the design phase in which he participates
- Make the technical documentation available to the technical checkers
- Evaluation of the quality of materials and workmanship, implementation of QA/QC procedures, verification of shop drawings
- Make field visits within the projects
- Intervenes when it finds that the requested technical or temporal requirements are not met, finding solutions to remedy them without prejudice to the project
- Prepares external intermediate reports, if they have been requested by the topic
- Actively participates in the technical part of the solution
- Participate in ensuring relations with the Beneficiary and subcontractors
- Participate in ensuring relations with local administrations, utility beneficiaries, the external project verifier and all institutions directly or indirectly involved in the development of the project
- Participates and supports (depending on experience and delegation) the approvals along the way and the final approval
- Participates and supports the notices to the Beneficiary or to the issuers of notices (depending on experience and delegation)
- Ensures communication with subcontractors in order to respect the established delivery deadlines
- Check the documentation received from subcontractors for their inclusion in the established terms of reference
- Hand over the project to the Beneficiary
- Participate in the monitoring of projects during execution
- Maintain confidentiality in relation to all actions, materials and information, the disclosure of which could harm the company and/or employees of Egis Romania
- Up to date with news in the field, the application of new technologies and design methods performed.
- Participate in the preparation of the technical offer
- Preparation: 3- 5 years of experience working in Romania in the geological and/or geotechnical design and monitoring domain, represents an advantage;
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD and dedicated design software;
- Strong sense of responsibility, high standards of ethical behaviour an ability to work in team collaboration and take decisions;
- Confident, clear and polite style of verbal communication one-to-one or in a group, including ‘active’ listening;
- Technical/Engineering degree;
- Fluent Romanian, and preferably good spoken and written English, represents an advantage;
- Strong computer skills (proficiency in recognised design software and Microsoft applications).
