To support this mission, Syngenta’s Andean Region Planning team (P&S) is seeking a Supply Chain Planner Andean in Santiago, Chile.
Accountabilities
- Planning analyzing 3 to 36 months horizon aligned with Syngenta’s marketing strategy through P&F concepts.
- Create and maintain balanced supply-demand plans for the operational 24 months horizon, anticipate supply constraints, develop alternative supply options, and proactively communicate and collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Analyze, counsel and proactively communicate through systems and business processes to enable optimized business decisions.
- Manage inventory forecasting and control, capacity headroom, supply status reviews and reporting as well as allocation processes for the supply chains in scope and closely collaborates with the relevant functions and geographies.
- Develop personal planning skills to drive balanced supply and demand plans, create visibility and turn market indicators into insights and planning scenarios enabling business optimized decision making throughout the supply chains assigned.
- Ensure that all planning processes throughout the integrated supply chain operate against MRPII philosophies and principles, e.g., always ensure validity of any planning relevant master data.
- Guarantee the right planning to attend and achieve the planning KPI’s.
- Inventory management and optimization aligned with target region objectives.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Science, Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in the agricultural or chemical industry.
- Advanced verbal and written English skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning skills, system knowledge of SAP and APO systems (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of crop protection products and agricultural markets is a plus.
- Good Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Cross-functional knowledge with emphasis on familiarity with Sales and Marketing (e.g. new product introductions, life-cycle management).
