Job description
Sandisk is seeking a highly motivated and curious Agentic AI Intern to support the Consumer Intelligence & Analytics organization during the summer internship program. This role will focus on applying agentic AI technologies to enhance how consumer, market, and business insights are generated, synthesized, and delivered across the Consumer organization.
As a member of the Consumer Intelligence & Analytics team, the intern will work closely with Business Intelligence, Research & Insights, and cross‑functional partners to explore how AI-driven agents can scale insight generation, automate synthesis of complex information, and improve decision-making speed and consistency. The role is designed for candidates who are interested in bridging technology and business, with exposure to real-world applications of AI in consumer analytics, market intelligence, and strategy support.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, intellectually curious, and comfortable working with both technical concepts and business problems. This intern should demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, an interest in AI-enabled workflows, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to impactful, forward-looking initiatives while developing practical experience in applied AI, analytics, and consumer strategy.
This internship will report into the Consumer Intelligence & Analytics organization and is expected to be full-time for the duration of the summer program. The role may be based in Sandisk’s Milpitas office or work remotely, depending on candidate location and team needs.
The hourly pay rate for this intern position is $50.00 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the exploration and development of agentic AI solutions that enhance consumer, market, and business intelligence workflows.
- Assist in analyzing how AI agents can synthesize large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights.
- Work with internal datasets, research materials, and market information to test AI-enabled insight generation and summarization approaches.
- Help evaluate opportunities to scale and standardize insight delivery across regions, teams, or business functions using AI-based tools.
- Contribute to the documentation of AI agent concepts, workflows, assumptions, and limitations to support broader adoption.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Research & Insights, and other cross-functional stakeholders to understand real business needs and use cases.
- Assist in developing clear outputs (briefs, summaries, dashboards, or presentations) that translate AI-generated insights into business-relevant narratives.
- Participate in reviews, discussions, and feedback sessions to refine analytical approaches and improve solution quality.
REQUIRED
- Currently pursuing an MBA or PhD in business, analytics, computer science, data science, engineering, economics, or a related field graduating in December 2026 or June 2027.
- Strong interest in applied AI, analytics, and their use in business or consumer insights contexts.
- Ability to think analytically and work with structured and unstructured data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and learning new tools, concepts, and problem spaces quickly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams.
PREFERRED
- Experience or coursework related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analysis, or automation.
- Exposure to AI tools, LLMs, analytics platforms, or basic programming (e.g., Python, SQL, or no-code/low-code tools).
- Experience in a business, strategy, analytics, or technical internship or project-based role.
- Interest in consumer technology, market research, or data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to bridge technical concepts and business applications.
