Job Description
We are looking for a Press Shop Production Systems Engineer to support the implementation, integration, and operational readiness of manufacturing systems within stamping and blanking operations.
The role will focus on supporting MES, SAP EWM, PLM Teamcenter, shop-floor hardware, automation interfaces, and system testing to ensure reliable and efficient production execution. The position is hands-on and operational, working closely with engineering, IT, production, logistics, and automation teams.
This role is based on the uploaded Production System Associate Engineering JD, which covers MES, SAP EWM, PLM Teamcenter, shop-floor hardware, PLC interfaces, testing, training, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support configuration and implementation of MES, SAP EWM, and PLM Teamcenter systems for stamping and blanking operations.
- Assist in maintaining system parameters, master data, and configuration updates.
- Support integration between MES and stamping/blanking machinery through PLC interfaces.
- Assist with SAP EWM integration related to material flow, inventory, and automated crane operations.
- Validate communication flows and real-time data exchange between systems, machines, and equipment.
- Support system testing and validation activities for MES, SAP EWM, and Teamcenter.
- Coordinate installation and readiness of shop-floor hardware, including industrial PCs, operator terminals, barcode scanners, label printers, HMI panels, touchscreens, and networked devices.
- Work with IT infrastructure teams to ensure proper connectivity, access, and system availability.
- Provide first-level operational support to MES, SAP EWM, and Teamcenter users after implementation.
- Troubleshoot basic system, hardware, and connectivity issues before escalation.
- Train engineers, operators, supervisors, and logistics personnel on system usage and daily operational activities.
- Support the preparation of training materials, work instructions, test logs, configuration notes, and hardware inventories.
- Collect operational data, identify recurring issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Exposure to MES, SAP EWM, PLM Teamcenter, or similar manufacturing systems is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation, PLCs, manufacturing systems, and shop-floor operations.
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation or industrial IT support is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, PROFINET, and OPC UA.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- English proficiency is required; Arabic is an advantage.
