Credit Specialist

Job Summary:**

The Credit Specialist at Corteva Agriscience Services India Pvt. Ltd. will be responsible for managing and assessing credit risk for customers, ensuring adherence to credit policies, and supporting sales growth through effective credit management.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Conduct thorough credit evaluations of new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
• Establish and monitor credit limits based on risk assessment and company guidelines.
• Communicate credit decisions clearly and effectively to sales teams and customers.
• Proactively identify and escalate potential credit risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with sales and collections departments to resolve overdue accounts and minimize bad debt.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all company credit policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Participate in periodic reviews of credit policies and suggest improvements.
• Generate credit-related reports and provide insights to management.
• Respond to credit inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, credit management, or a similar role, preferably within the agricultural or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit scoring models, and credit risk assessment techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with credit management software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
