Salary $67,860 / yr - $88,218 / yr Overview Director of Facilities Management (Site Based) Salary Range: $67,860 - $88,218 / year Location: Burlington Position Overview The Director of Facilities Management (Site Based) is responsible for the complete operations, property management, and oversight of the Environmental Services and Maintenance departments at the facility. This individual manages life safety compliance, staff supervision, day-to-day operations, and budget oversight for the site. Responsibilities include regular maintenance checks, repairs, vendor/contractor coordination, record-keeping, and management of supplies and equipment. The Director follows established safety policies and procedures to consistently provide superior service to residents and staff. Co-chair facility Safety Committee and participate in Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP). Manage Preventive Maintenance Plans and ensure regulatory compliance. Supervise Maintenance and Environmental Services staff; handle hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Approve payroll and manage labor budget within specified parameters. Approve purchasing requests for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments. Ensure adherence to NFPA codes, local life safety/fire codes, and environmental regulations. Conduct testing and compliance for potable water systems and Cooling Tower programs. Serve as an operational liaison for Elderwood Development projects impacting the facility. Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and compliance with facility dress code and policies. Support and uphold Pediatric Specialty Care’s Mission, Vision, Values, code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Effective leadership skills; leads by example Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong customer service orientation Excellent prioritization, time management, and decision-making skills Clear verbal and written communication abilities Problem-solving aptitude and sound judgment Qualifications Educational Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years’ experience in physical plant, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or HVAC systems maintenance preferred At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred Current, valid driver’s license required Basic computer skills preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred Extensive knowledge of Life Safety Codes and NFPA preferred This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
