Job Overview Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator. The Life Enrichment Assistant/Driver assists with the planning and implementation of quality leisure/social events program designed to assist residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically, socially and mentally. Additionally drives Ebenezer bus for resident outings. Schedule Includes: 20 hours every two weeks ; part time Weekends as needed Responsibilities Assists with leisure programs and activities: Leads social events and activity programs. Conducts exercise class for residents. Communicates and coordinates activity/leisure programs with all departments. Assists other departments with special events and family functions. Documents as required. Offers suggestions and ideas to improve the events program to the Life Enrichment Director. Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents: Encourages resident participation. Reports change in resident attitude, mood or physical status to appropriate staff. Promotes resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills. Assists residents in developing relationships and effectively socializing. Drives Ebenezer van/bus for resident outings: Reviews and completes Vehicle Requirements – Transporting Residents Checklist prior to each resident outing. Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period. Responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services including but not limited to: fire/disaster procedures and infection control procedures. Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents. Follows all laws with regard to operating a motor vehicle. Immediately reports any traffic violations or accidents.
