Job Overview Deer Crest Senior Living is located in beautiful Red Wing, MN, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care to our residents. Help fill in for open shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs. Days and early evening shift options, even 4-7pm short shift options. Weekdays and weekends, holidays Our Culinary Assistant/Server position is responsible for dining room and to go meal service to senior age assisted living/memory care residents within the building. Responsibilities Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting: Follows meal serving schedule and procedures. Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs. Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques. Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures. Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up. Follows proper work flow to stay on task. Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service. Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift. Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction: Welcomes residents and initiates conversation. Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc. Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
