Overview Executive Director The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho | Rio Rancho, NM We need a turnaround Executive Director, this is not a position that the ED can come in and just coast for. They need to come in from Day 1 and continue on the momentum that Harold has built on from the occupancy standpoint. Reports to Senior Executive Director, that's based out of Madison Wisconsin. The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho, a premier Life Plan Community, is seeking a strong, results-oriented Executive Director to lead this beautiful and growing community. This is a role for a true operator, someone who understands what it takes to run a complex senior living model and is energized by driving census, financial performance, and accountability across the team. As part of the Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) network, you’ll join one of the nation’s leading nonprofit senior living organizations, with the support, resources, and career growth opportunities that come with it. To be successful, you must: Keep Independent Living strong and stable Ensure healthcare (AL, MS, SNF) remains full Maintain relentless focus on sales, census, and P&L performance The reality : this model only works when all areas are performing at a high level. This requires a leader who will motivate the team, drive accountability, and consistently deliver results. What You’ll Do Lead the Community Direct all operations and provide clear, performance-driven leadership Build and develop a high-performing leadership team Reinforce a culture aligned with PRS values: We Speak Up, We Step Up, We Lift Up, We Team Up Drive Operational & Sales Performance Own census across all service lines, this is non-negotiable Partner closely with sales to drive occupancy and move-ins Ensure strong execution across Independent Living and Healthcare Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results Own Financial Performance Lead with a strong P&L mindset—revenue, expenses, and margin matter Drive disciplined decision-making to ensure long-term sustainability Align operations, staffing, and census to financial performance Engage with Community & Industry Represent the organization locally and professionally Build strong relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders What You Bring 5+ years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or related operations Proven ability to drive census, improve occupancy, and manage P&L performance Experience leading through accountability and developing strong teams Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field Life Plan/CCRC experience strongly preferred NHA license (preferred) A leadership style that balances high expectations with strong team development Leadership Competencies Drives results and ensures accountability Business and financial acumen Builds effective teams Navigates complexity with confidence Communicates with clarity and purpose Compensation That Reflects the Role Salary Range : $154,600 - $193,300 Incentive Discretionary Performance Bonus : Up to 20% Executive-level benefits + discretionary profit sharing + 409(a) plan Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, vision (up to 100% employer-paid options) 401(k) + 4% match Discretionary Profit sharing Up to 8 weeks PTO + PTO cash-out option HSA contributions Leadership development + national network exposure And at the center of it: A beautiful, newer community in Rio Rancho A team with momentum and a strong foundation already in place The opportunity to step in and continue to drive performance Stunning views of the Sandia Mountains Easy access to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe A vibrant culture rooted in art, food, and the outdoors What Makes PRS Different We’re a mission-driven nonprofit focused on long-term community success.
