Benefits: Paid time off; following the school calendar Medical, dental and vision benefits 403(b) employee contribution and employer match Salary: Starting $90000 / depending on education / experience Job Summary: The BCBA is a position that provides consultant and direct support to school community to behavioral intervention plans for students. Responsibilities Provides comprehensive behavior analysis services to individuals with a primary focus on addressing behaviors that are impeding a students’ ability to learn in the school setting. Supports the School Wide Positive Behavior Support Framework at all tiers. BCBAs provide high quality services in the areas of data-based functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support plan development, verbal behavior assessment, replacement skills training, consultation, and staff training. BCBAs also provide individual, group, family/parent skills training, as needed. Provide behavior analyst services with individuals on caseload as required by school districts and program expectations. Conduct functional behavioral assessments and write reports summarizing results in accordance with state requirements and collaborate with teachers to design positive behavior support plans. Trains staff/teachers on implementing positive behavior support plans and function-based interventions and monitor fidelity. Report quarterly on behavior goals included in a student’s IEP, provide present levels on behavior to teacher for inclusion in the IEP, and provide input to the school team when needed. Participate in annual IEP meetings, as needed. Performs other duties relevant to program operations as defined by school administration. Support the implementation of school wide positive behavior supports framework at the school. modeling to staff in behavior intervention strategies. Qualifications Post graduate degree in behavior analysis or related human services field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst required. Background in the development and implementation of behavioral interventions and various modalities of psychological treatment in accordance with highest standards of practice. Expertise/training in the use of functional behavior assessment tools such as indirect and structured observation tools. Knowledge of positive behavior supports normal human development and experience providing evaluation and treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or co-morbid mental health disorders. Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team framework and manage various levels of family functioning. Strong organizational and time management skills necessary. Strong leadership skills and ability to work with parents/staff/individuals with varying cognitive abilities and skill levels. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, pursue individuals on foot, and physically restrain (with appropriate training), bend squat, and reach.
