The Benefit Administrator I is responsible for supporting the daily administration of employee benefits programs. This role assists employees with benefits-related inquiries, processes employee Leaves of Absence, and maintains accurate records. The role ensures compliance with relevant regulations and company policies while working closely with internal teams and external vendors. Key Objectives: Process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other voluntary benefits. Maintain employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Maintain and update employee benefits records in HRIS and benefits systems. Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions and concerns, providing accurate and timely information. Oversee, coordinate, and process employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations while maintaining accurate records. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and ERISA. Prepare and distribute required notices and documentation. Liaise with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure the proper administration of benefits plans. Support benefit leadership in developing and delivering benefits education sessions and materials to employees during open enrollment and throughout the year. Education and/or Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, or related field preferred. Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
