Job description
A Day in the Life
- Works under general direction with broad, in-depth knowledge of hospital and Radiology systems technology
- Conducts business requirements reviews, including gathering business and user needs
- Documents and formulates detailed business and system requirements
- Defines system scope and objectives for complex information systems
- Recommends workflow and process improvements
- Modifies, tests, and implements third-party software solutions
- Leads small to mid-size teams on mid- to large-scale projects (80–120 hours) involving moderately integrated, complex systems
- Produces thorough documentation for requirements, testing, code/scripts, processes, and workflows
- Provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts
Qualifications
Must have one of the following (required):
- Associate’s degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 4 years’ relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 2 years relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)
- 6 years in healthcare or IS/Business experience
- Experience in healthcare beneficial
Technical Knowledge (required):
- General understanding of:
- Common technical terminology
- Network topologies
- Working knowledge of:
- MS Desktop products
- Client/Server applications
- IT Selection and Implementation Methodology
- Required technical documentation including flowcharts
- Interpreting vendor technical requirements
- Relational database concepts
- Types of hardware, storage, computing capacity of computers and end user devices
- Back up processes and disaster recovery
- Computer security procedures and protocols
- Report writing tools
- Networking concepts
Schedule: 8-4:30pm, no weekends, call rotation is every 3 weeks, for 1 week.
