  • Stay current with industry best practices, applicable codes/standards, and regulatory requirements.

Reliability Engineering & Asset Integrity

  • Use data‑driven insights from condition monitoring and performance tools to prioritize and justify reliability improvements.

Troubleshooting, Condition Monitoring & Diagnostics

  • Provide technical support during unplanned and emergency rotating equipment failures, including off‑shift callouts as required.

  • Lead complex troubleshooting efforts focused on safe equipment restoration and prevention of recurrence.

  • Perform machinery condition monitoring, diagnostics, performance analysis, and failure investigations using advanced monitoring systems.

  • Track, review, and ensure quality of offsite shop repairs and returned equipment.

Projects, Turnarounds & Operational Support

  • Support turnarounds and capital projects from scope development through commissioning and PSSR participation.

  • Develop or revise PMs, job plans, repair checklists, and maintenance or operating procedures.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to optimize equipment performance and ensure safe, reliable operation.

  • Provide technical oversight for medium‑scope projects; work has Business Unit–level impact.

Leadership, Communication & Operational Excellence

  • Influence and lead cross‑functional teams through strong technical credibility and collaboration.

  • Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Mentor and coach engineers and technicians while supporting development of a strong “One Team” culture.

  • Demonstrate Operational Excellence (OE) behaviors aligned with the Chevron Way, including strong safety leadership and application of Human and Organizational Performance principles.
