Job description
Under the direction of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, the Athletics Compliance Coordinator supports the administration of NCAA, conference, and institutional compliance activities. This role assists with the coordination of athletic financial aid processes, rules education, and monitoring activities to help ensure compliance across the athletics program. The position serves as a key resource to coaches, staff, and student-athletes and collaborates with campus partners to support effective and compliant operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Aid & Scholarship Administration (40%)
Assist in maintaining and monitoring athletic scholarship budgets for individual teams, ensuring alignment with NCAA regulations and institutional guidelines.
Support the preparation and processing of Financial Aid Agreements (FAA) for prospective student-athletes and track documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Serve as a point of coordination between Athletics and Student Financial Services to help ensure athletic aid is administered in accordance with applicable rules and policies.
Compliance Monitoring & Reporting (15%)
Monitor Countable Athletically Related Activities (CARA) logs and review submissions to ensure compliance with NCAA bylaws.
Support the tracking, documentation, and reporting of potential NCAA violations, including those related to CARA activities.
Policy, Education & Interpretation (35%)
Assist in monitoring NCAA rule changes and support the development and communication of related policies, procedures, and educational materials.
Provide guidance and support to student-athletes, coaches, and staff by responding to compliance-related questions and assisting with rules education initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & External Relations (10%)
Provide guidance and support to student-athletes, coaches, and staff by responding to compliance-related questions and assisting with rules education initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in sport management, higher education administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
1–3 years of experience in athletics compliance, collegiate athletics, or a related administrative field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, particularly related to financial aid and eligibility. Familiarity with NCAA compliance systems (e.g., Compliance Assistant, LSDBi, NCAA Eligibility Center) preferred.
Experience with ARMS or similar compliance/recruiting software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in NCAA Division I athletics compliance.
Exposure to financial aid processes within a collegiate athletics environment.

Compensation Pay Range:
$50,000-$52,000

Compensation Pay Range:
